Privacy Policy
Last updated 1 August 2026 · This is a placeholder policy — replace with your reviewed legal text before shipping.
The short version: Outloop runs entirely on your iPhone. It doesn't collect your personal data, there are no accounts, and nothing you do in the app is sent to us or to anyone else.
What we collect
Nothing that leaves your device. Outloop has no servers that store your information, no analytics that profile you, and no advertising trackers. The app works without an account, so there's no name, email, or login tied to your usage.
Data that stays on your device
To do its job, Outloop reads and stores certain information locally on your iPhone. It is kept on the device and is not transmitted to us:
- Motion & steps: read live to verify walking and other movement when you earn scroll time.
- Camera: used on-device to count push-ups. Frames are processed in the moment and are not recorded, stored, or uploaded.
- Screen Time: used through Apple's Screen Time framework to shield the apps you choose and to show your own usage insights.
- Your settings & progress: the apps you block, minutes earned, and your garden's state are stored locally so the app remembers them.
Permissions
Outloop asks for Motion & Fitness, Camera, and Screen Time access only to power the features above. You can review or revoke any of these at any time in the iOS Settings app.
Purchases
Outloop Premium and any in-app purchases are handled by Apple through the App Store. Payment details are processed by Apple under their privacy policy; we never see your card information.
Children
Outloop is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. Because nothing is collected server-side, no personal data is gathered from any user.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and revise the date above. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
